CoastalpauaReef is an independent games publication operated by CoastalpauaReef Games Journal from Wellington, New Zealand. Our desk focuses on family-friendly games, competitive play, console launches and practical player-first reporting.

The publication began in 2017 as a small local column written by players who wanted slower, more useful criticism than launch-week hype. It grew into a 14-person editorial desk covering reviews, guides, patch notes, competitive play and digital culture.
